Sinekultura at CAFA Theatre

My friend Cierlito Tabay has been inviting me for free vieweing at SineKultura at CAFA in San Carlos Talamban campus which leaded by Misha Anissimov who is also the founder of Tioseco Bohinc Film Archive.

The free film viewing has started on June 2011 featuring both foreign and local films with different genres.

You may check Diem Judilla's sinebuano.com for updated info about SineKultura Screenings.

And due to rain and heavy traffic I arrived late and missed the first film Doktora but luckily I was just on time for " Ang Gugma ni Olivia ( Olivia's Love) "  in Cebuano with English subtittle.

The film is mainly about obsession.
And I love how the short film was plotted  beyond ordinary and how the emotions were portrayed by the lead actors without those exagerating scripts and all... it was raw talent and portrayal... which captured the audience interest as well...

All in all it was a good film and I am hoping I could watch more of these films from home grown talent such as  Christian Linaban and many more....

And also would like to thank my friend Lito for inviting me for the screenings .

The Ferry Ride....

I can't remember if when was the last time I rode the metro ferry  on my way home... it just seems very inaccessible for me and time consuming....

But today I did! It was brave enough for me to go to Colon Street and took  a jeepney ride to Pier 3 which has changed and improve a lot since my last visit.

And it is just the perfect day for a Metro Ferry ride, the sun is up and shining and the hum of the waves so soothing  as the cool wind plays through the tangles of my hair...

All in all I enjoyed the ride and all my childhood memories flooded through.. cotton candies and balloons after Sunday church with lola and lolo...  as the ferry sails home...

And took some photos for souvenirs ...

Death ...

falling into your arms… gasping for breath… looking into your warm eyes… for the last time….
death has come to me… death as claimed my being…

as darkness fells into these horizons… the memories slowly comes back….
the way you say my name….
the way you held my hand….
the way fate has bring you to me…

when you said ….
” you look lovely when you’re happy…”
” you look sexy when you sing lonely songs”
” you look pretty when you’re drunk…”
” you bring sunshine when you smile… “

do you remember these words ?
do you remember when you held me close in the rain?
do you remember when you cried when i was in pain?
do you remember the first time we made love ?

now the pain slowly subsided…just like the beat of my heart….
i want to grasp more air.. more life… more of you….
i’d rather choose to die and let you go
for to die in your arms would be the sweetest death ….
and to see you in pain is like a thousand death…

Broken....

we kept pivoting on this suspended stray of love
thinking we’re heading on
but not seeing lot’s of devils
that tremble down soaked-hearts of lovers
it was a dash we’re clued
but the heartaches rush a quick while our hearts weep ….

Spring...

after Neptune’s grey gloom
a tear falls from a young blade
of green furls and curls ever so gently
into a blending joy which breathes of life
born again and beauty blooms
forth once more

Silence

time quickly passed by so I started to say goodbye
looming at the bottom of my heart a painful and lasting hurt
a plethord of baffling ideas playing by my trembling heart
my mind screaming for justice of this unspoken love
waiting for someday you may know
that my hearts been longing for you
wondering what to do …
but to whisper in my mind that
I love you …

mourning....

you’ll never know
how much i’ve  loved you
how much  i cared

you’ll never know
about my pain
about my broken heart

you’ll never know
how much in cried
how much it hurts

you’ll never know
how much i dreamt
how much i longed
how much i wished

you’ll never know
because it died .

Memories....

It just sank in to me....
I'm not getting any younger and aside from worrying about wrinkles and pre-mature aging
signs... I just realized that my little sisters have grown up....

Gone are the days when we use to play "Beauty contest" and I would do thier make up and costumes... gone are the days where I cook for thier lunch and baby sit while mom is out of town for work... gone are the days where I create fruit caps for them on July Nutrition Month's celebration... gone are the days where the three of us will make our own greeting cards for mama, lola and lolo and for many other celebrations...

And gone are the days where my little sisters and little nieces  will line up for United Nation's week celebration...

Ate Honey sings well... I mean very well, she is a choir member in school and Ate Chay
must be a good teacher in the near future... and she is good at poems too and craft and arts ...
We share the same passion for books and novels with mom while ate Honer is the bold and outgoing type...

I miss the beach with them... ate hon and ate chay would not stop playing and bathing in the beach until they both turn violet and would complain about sun-burned skin the day after....

blahh--blahh-blahhh

to  cut this sentimental story short .
Honestly I just miss my little
sisters... and they are bigger and taller now... and  have their own lives now...

But for me they are still my little sisters....
